addon_gps

GPS add-on board for the large camper add-on slot. The board accommodates a u-blox/NEO-6M GPS module and connects it to the camper node via UART.

Function

• Footprint for a NEO-6M-compatible GPS receiver module.
• GPS module powered via P5V and GND.
• UART connection via TXD and RXD.
• PPS pin is provided in the GPS module footprint.

Interfaces

The large add-on slot provides P5V and GND and routes the two UART signals. The GPS module is connected through VCC, GND, TXD, and RXD. TXD is routed to the add-on signal SDA_MOSI_TX, and RXD to SCL_MISO_RX, allowing the slot to be used as a serial interface for this board.

GPS Module

The board is designed for the u-blox/NEO-6M module form factor. On the component side, the module pins VCC, GND, TXD, RXD, and PPS are labeled. The board itself does not contain any GPS logic; it serves as a mechanical and electrical adapter between the module and the camper add-on bus.
