ioas_mosfet
Single-channel IOAS output module with an N-channel MOSFET low-side switch. The board plugs into an IOAS output slot on the Camper Node and switches the negative side of an external load.
Function
- Uses an FDD8780 N-channel MOSFET as the power switching element.
- Drives the MOSFET gate from the IOAS control signal.
- Provides a 10 kOhm gate pull-down so the output stays off while the control line is inactive or floating.
- Routes the slot high-side supply directly to OUT+.
- Switches OUT- through the MOSFET drain/source path to GND.
IOAS Interface
The module uses the IOAS output connector for GND, P5V, the high-voltage output rail and the control signal. The GPIO_CS pin of the IOAS slot is used as the digital input for the MOSFET gate. SDA_MOSI, SCL_MISO and SCK are present on the connector footprint but are not used by this simple switching module.
Output Behavior
OUT+ is tied to the incoming high-side supply from the IOAS slot. OUT- is connected to the MOSFET drain. When the control input is active, the MOSFET pulls OUT- to GND and enables current through the load. This makes the board suitable for DC loads that can be switched on the low side.
