ioas_optocoppler
Single-channel IOAS optocoupler module. The board plugs into an IOAS slot and converts an external input signal into an isolated digital output signal for the Camper Node.
Function
- Uses an SFH600 optocoupler for galvanic separation between the input side and the logic side.
- Accepts the external signal through the IOAS output connector pins used as IN and IN_MINUS.
- Provides a series resistor footprint for the optocoupler LED input.
- Provides a pull-up resistor from the optocoupler transistor output to P5V.
- Includes a solder jumper that can connect the input negative side to local GND when isolation is not required.
IOAS Interface
The module uses OUT+ as the external input signal and OUT- as IN_MINUS. On the logic side, the optocoupler transistor output is routed to the GPIO_CS pin of the IOAS slot and labelled DO in the schematic. P5V and GND power the output side of the optocoupler circuit.
Signal Path
An input voltage across IN and IN_MINUS drives the LED side of the SFH600 through R5. The transistor side pulls the DO signal according to the optocoupler state, with R4 providing the pull-up to P5V. JP1 can tie IN_MINUS to GND for non-isolated configurations.
